For over thirty years, Groupe CMA has been producing complete assemblies, press tooling and machine frames using mechanical welding techniques on thick high strength steel, aluminum or stainless steel materials.

With over 2,000 tons of materials cut on an in-house basis, the experience and exceptional industrial means of Groupe CMA make it a major player in the French sub-contract manufacturing services for large-scale mechano-welded structures, components and tooling :

The new gantry milling machine has the capacity to machine large-scale components made from aluminum, steel, stainless steel and nickel-base alloys, and what's more with a 3% accuracy on 19000mm !

For the machining of large-scale components, Groupe CMA has invested in exceptional means with the purchase of a Forest-Line MAJORMILL 470 TAG 19000 x 4700 x 3250 Gantry Milling Machine.

Groupe CMA's managers opted for this solution because they wanted to fulfill two objectives :

to provide their customers with a global solution in terms of machining & mechanical welding of very large-scale components,
from a wider point of view, to meet the machining needs for large-scale components with very high degrees of accuracy on a market featuring weak sub-contract supply.

CMA Group has commissionned since november 2012, in the mechanical-welding unit, a new ELECTROQUIPMENT CN gantry oxygen-cutting machine 15000x3000 with 4 MESSER blow lamps. CMA Group finalising now, in early 2013 reorganization of its productions sites. The production hall based on Rue Jean Jaurès is now dedicated to machining both turning and simple milling. The production hall based on Rue Molière in Lavelanet is now dedicated to mechanized-welding including production lead-time and and beginning machining. The production hall based on Chemin de la Carole in Villeneuve d'Olmes is the production site of sub-assemblies or complete mechano-welded structures.
